Anthony served his country in the Army Air Force beginning in 1945 and continuing through the Korean Conflict.  He was deeply involved in the many civic organizations of his community. He was a lifetime member and past Exulted Ruler of the ELKS Club and was also a member of the GI Civics Organization.
